John A. Meyer serves as CEO and president, providing overall direction for Acxiom and the 6,600 associates who deliver products and services to dozens of countries worldwide. Since joining the company in early 2008, he has been instrumental in formally establishing Acxiom’s market position as a global leader in interactive marketing services.
John has worked to drive innovation around digital services such as targeted display ads and mobile device messaging. He is also increasing Acxiom’s focus on industry and geographic expansion as well as value-added capabilities including consulting and analytics services.
Prior to joining Acxiom, John was selected as president of the Alcatel-Lucent Services Group, responsible for more than $6 billion in annual revenue and the management of more than 20,000 people around the globe. The group he led designed, implemented and managed some of the most sophisticated communications networks in the world.
After joining Lucent in 2003, John was a driving force for change in the business, optimizing delivery processes and re-aligning the sales force in support of the corporate strategy to become a services value-added solutions provider. These efforts increased revenue by 75 percent and doubled profitability in 29 countries.
Prior to Lucent, John spent nearly 20 years at Electronic Data Systems, Inc. (EDS), where he held several high-profile positions including running the financial industry business and serving as president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. During John’s four years running Europe, he doubled revenue from $3.6 billion to $7.2 billion.
John holds a master of business administration degree in quantitative methods from the University of Missouri and a bachelor of science degree in management from Pennsylvania State University. From 1979 to 1983, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight commander and achieved the rank of captain. He is married to Victoria and has three children, who were born in the UK, France and Texas, respectively.
John A. Adams is the Company’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President in which capacity he has responsibility for directing the operational areas of the business which include the market facing industry units, Europe and Asia Pacific, service development and delivery, and information technology. He joined Acxiom May 14, 2008, having served previously as a consultant to the Company.
From 2004-2006, John was executive vice president of customer solutions for Eclipsys, a healthcare information software and services vendor. In that capacity, he was responsible for the company’s outsourcing and hosting units as well as a number of administrative functions. From 2003-2004, he served as chief financial officer for Exult, Inc., a human resources business process outsourcing company that was subsequently sold to Hewitt Associates during John’s tenure. From 2000 – 2003, he served as chief financial officer and vice president of AT&T Business Services, a subsidiary of AT&T Corporation. In this role, he led a successful restructuring of the subsidiary’s operations. Prior to that, John was employed by Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS) for 15 years, serving most recently as its vice president and controller, in which capacity he oversaw the accounting and finance functions for EDS worldwide.
John, a British citizen, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He holds a bachelor of arts degree with honors in economics from the University of Exeter, England.
Christopher W. Wolf joined Acxiom as Chief Financial Officer in May 2007. He is responsible for all aspects of Acxiom’s financial management. Chris has almost 20 years’ experience as a financial executive and consultant to companies in the marketing, retail and technology sectors. He most recently served as an independent consultant, focusing on financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, corporate governance, capital structure, mergers and acquisitions, and tax planning for a variety of public and private entities.
From 2005-2006, Chris served as CFO of NiuTech LLC, an internet marketing services company, where he was responsible for the accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury and risk management activities of the company. From 1996-2004, Chris was employed in various finance and tax positions with Catalina Marketing Corporation, including serving as chief financial officer from 2002-2004. He also was executive vice president from 2003-2004; senior vice president from 2002-2003; vice president of finance and treasurer from 2000-2002; executive director of tax, treasury and international finance from 1998-2000; senior director of tax and international finance from 1997-1998; and senior director of tax from 1996-1997. Prior to joining Catalina, he served 10 years as a tax manager and consultant for Arthur Andersen & Co.
Chris is a certified public accountant and holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Florida State University and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina.
Cindy K. Childers serves as Acxiom’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Cindy leads strategic planning and execution in the areas of business culture, organizational effectiveness, associate development, recruiting, human resources and corporate communications. Previously, she served as leader of the financial services business unit and oversaw all of the financial and accounting functions of the Company. She was first named an officer in 1996.
Before joining Acxiom in 1985, Cindy was a certified public accountant in audit and tax for KPMG Peat Marwick.
Cindy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Arkansas. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Jerry C. Jones serves as Acxiom’s Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President/Assistant Secretary. He is responsible for the legal team, leads the strategy and execution of mergers and alliances, and assists in other strategic initiatives.
Jerry came to Acxiom as an officer in 1999 from the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was an attorney specializing in problem solving and business litigation for 19 years, representing a broad range of business interests.
Jerry is a member of the board of directors of Entrust, Inc., a public company, and the Arkansas Virtual Academy. He holds a degree in public administration and a juris doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law.
